So workers fall down and die. All this takes place with the connivance of the West, which doesn't give a rat's ass. A number of essays and articles have exposed the de facto slavery in Dubai and, more generally, the Middle East -- but since those on the receiving end are brown-skinned, there are no howls of righteous indignation and so nothing changes.<br /><br />This is the last article I read on Dubai's work practices.
